What degree of error in the findings is tolerable? 

 RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY 

What is my overall strategy for doing this research? 

Will this design permit me to answer the research question? 

What constraints will the approach place on the work? 

 INSTRUMENTATION/SAMPLING 

How will I get the data I need to test my hypothesis? 

What tools or devices will I use to make or record observations? 

How will I choose the sample? 

What degree of accuracy or level of confidence can I guarantee? 

 DATA ANALYSIS 

What combinations of analytical and statistical process will be applied to the data? 

Which of these will allow me to accept or reject my hypotheses? 

 CONCLUSIONS, INTERPRETATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS 

Was my initial hypothesis supported or rejected? Why? 

What are the implications of my findings for the theory base, for the background assumptions, or relevant literature?

The problem Statement:

Currently, the environmental degradation is a major issue that comes with the rigorous development of the business world. Environmental circumstances lead towards the degradation with the growth of the business sector of the World. The relationship between the business growth or economic development and the environment is extensively complex. Recent economic development intensively affects the environmental sustainability (Power, 2015). 

Maximum manufacturing units need to emit greenhouse gases such as CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon), Carbon-di-oxide, etc. which are harmful to the environment. The random emissions of these gases lead to global warming. It affects the ecological system and its parts. So, countries nowadays tend to take some measurements to protect the environment but those are not too effective as the business development is also very important for the welfare of the economy (Malik & Grohmann, 2011). 

This research study will aim to identify and assess the issues that reflect the relationship between the economic growth and the environmental protection.

Research Question:

The research question of the study will,

• What is the present status of business organisations in managing their activities to make the environment sustainable?
• How elements of business growth harm the environment?
• Is there any relationship exist between the environmental protection and business growth?
• How both the environment and the business growth can become sustainable?

Theory:

The business need to enhance their production and cut their cost in order to achieve the growth in the business. The world is very dynamic nowadays so the enterprises need to apply numerous strategy to enhance their production (Farmer, 2012). The manufacturing business organisation need to increase their operations off the production. As a result, more polluting elements are emitted to the environment. The level of global warming increases day by day. Currently, some developing countries are taking the action of protecting the environment by several policies (Panwar, et al., 2011). This means that the random development of the business leads to harm the environment. It is the reason that the countries are taking measurements to protect their environment for the welfare of the world but it prohibits some business to become developed. The theory on this topic indicates that there is an effective relationship exist between the environmental sustainability and business growth (Malik & Grohmann, 2011).
